May 30th update: I've tried long and hard and as of today I'm convinced that the manufacturer is not going to produce more of the original Shekor SK450t chargers. Sorry folks, I tried.

March 9th update: I have just received notice that the original Shekor SK-450T "should be" available again sometime around the end of March. Based on the track record, I'm not promising but I'll keep this ad updated with the results.

January 25th update: I regret to report that I have received a second batch of chargers and these replacements also have design flaws and will not be listed for sale. I am still looking for a good replacement of the original Shekor 450T which my supplier tells me is no longer available.

November 24th update on Shekor chargers. I have previously found the Shekor 450t to be a great charger and value. The last shipment I received of this charger was received in new packaging and labeled as model KP-05 without the Shekor branding. An internal inspection showed some physical changes and testing showed even worse. I found this KP-05 charger to reach and sustain 4.4 volts before charge termination. I also found various and inconsistent functionality defects such as the right bay not functioning unless the left bay is loaded. My supplier has acknowledged this and promised to replace the units with “better” units although I am not counting on anything until I have units I can test. Thanks for your patience and understanding; I made this choice in both of our best interest.

I have not released any of these but if you have a shekor clone labeled model KP-05, I suggest you either test the functionality (charge termination voltage, to ensure it’s 4.25v or lower) or discontinue using it.

• WF-139 seems to charge about 50mA harder than the Shekor

• Shekor terminates sooner at 4.18v vs. 4.25v on the WF-139

• Charging with a WF-139 may give a bit more capacity initially but may also cause the batteries to degrade slightly sooner

Operation instructions:

• Unplug charger when not in use
• Insert batteries
• Connect power adapter
• Monitor LED status lights for charge status indication
• Disconnect power when charge is complete

LED power status indicator:

Blinking Red: No Battery detected
Solid Red:     Charging
LED OFF:       Charge complete, charger in sleep mode

Operational Notes: Power should be reset by unplugging power to cancel sleep mode at the end of each charge cycle. Batteries should be installed before applying power. If batteries are installed after power is applied the second battery may not be recognized. Simply unplug charger momentarily with batteries installed to reset and begin charging. Sample units tested by e-lectronics has shown charge termination of 4.18v.
