The Hugsby P31 is a 3-mode (High/Low/Strobe) 3 Watt CREE XR-E Q3 emitter flashlight powered by a single AA or Li-ion 14500. This light will always power on in High mode regardless of the last mode used. Modes are switched by partially depressing the power switch for a brief moment. This is a tough versatile no frills high performance flashlight with pocket clip for daily use powered a standard AA battery .

Note: These P31 lights have a constant current driver and do operate with a 14500 Li-ion battery, drawing about .9 - 1A current from the battery and outputing 180 lumen. Do to the construction of the light, an unprotected 14500 fits correctly although using a protected 14500 requires that either the tail cap be backed of a few turns or the contact point on the tail cap be shortened. e-lectronics is selling this as an AA 1.5v flashlight but you are welcome to use this information as you will. If you would like to modify this light, it should be noted that these lights are potted, the head requires significant force (I chucked it up in a lathe) to remove due to the adhesive applied during manufacturing.
